        Verdict

        BRIGYDON is the tentative pick in the contest ahead of Avertis and Crystal Crown. The pick for James Fanshawe returns here after a good looking third in a similar race last time. He stayed on well on that occasion so the step up to a mile here should suit. After being fitted with a tongue tie last time which saw an improved effort on the artificial surface at Wolverhampton Avertis has started to rediscover the form which saw back to back win on his first two career outings. If the tongue tie works again he has every chance racing off a mark lower than his last outing. Crystal Crown makes a handicap debut after finding life over longer trips a bit tricky. It could be that he finds his forte here and the market will tell us more. Ocean Legend has place claims after landing third place here on his penultimate start but he should be behind slection Brigydon.
