Verdict

The 250,000gns colt AMPLEFORTH makes his belated debut. He's a half-brother to a Grade 1 winner in America and could be up to winning at the first time of asking. Beechcraft Baron returns to this track in search of an elusive first win and his second to Formal Demand here in June was his best effort so far, while Spring Buck is interesting on his first start for Paul Cole having finished a promising third on his debut at Kempton back in 2008 when with Mark Johnston. Outpost and Swinger look best of the rest.
