Very Well Red is now 5lbs higher than when successful at Kempton three outings ago and she has been well held off just a 1lb higher mark in her last two starts so Peter Hiatt's mare looks best watched in a race that should lie between Holyfield Warrior and MACKINTOSH with preference for the latter of the two. The selection remains a maiden after 13 starts but made a pleasing first appearance on the Fibresand when narrowly beaten by Castle Myth over course and distance last week and he looks worth backing having been dropped 2lbs since that run. Ann Stokell's Amber Moon ran better here last time and has to be considered but needs to improve again to trouble the selection, while Mel Brittain's Plenilune remains a maiden after 20 starts and looks best left out of calculations. Holyfield Warrior ran creditably here over 1m4f two starts ago and has to be respected being dropped to a more suitable trip but preference is for Mackintosh, who can go one better than here last week.
