Verdict

Freeze The Flame is the clear pick on these terms but MITH HILL's consistency wins him the vote with Super Ross, perhaps, best of the rest. Charlie Egerton and Tony McCoy has always been a combination to be feared but the champion's efforts aboard this gelding have come to nought the last twice and there have to be doubts as to whether the drop in grade and return to hurdling can work the oracle. Grenoli showed a little more last time but the form is nothing to get carried away with and of more interest is Super Ross who was up against it last time but is a proven competitor in this grade. Redemption has been struggling of late and the solid option in this line-up is Mith Hill. Ian Williams' charge has produced some decent efforts in relatively competitive handicaps in recent starts; that form reads well in the context of this race and he should have sufficient reserves of stamina for this trip which should enable Mith Hill to go close.
