Verdict

Half A Billion and Desert Creek are both course winners but making their seasonal debuts. CALDERCRUIX should have the edge on fitness as he's been in good form here of late and wasn't beaten far despite finishing sixth off today's mark last time. James Evans' charge gets the nod ahead of Hellbender, placed in lower grade races over track and trip recently, while last month's Lingfield winner Lieutenant Dan is another upped in class. Springheel Jake won over 6f on his only previous start on Fibresand and makes more appeal than Al Khan and the disappointing Dutch Old Master.
