In depth

Verdict

A truly dire affair in which JIGGALONG is selected to see off Querido and They All Laughed. The selection isn't the most straight forward of creatures but did win a similar race at Kempton when consenting to cooperate rather than fight the rider. Fourth in a similar race at Southwell previously, expect to see any progress being slow but late. Querido does at least have winning form on the board. Rated in the 60's when trained by Mark Bradstock, Michael Wigham was able to exploit the handicappers decision to drop him down the weights. They All Laughed stays further than this though has to be in the reckoning in what is a plating contest in all but name. Reigning In Rio is one of a very small band of previous winners at Southwell and is noteworthy in that regard. City Stable went into many notebooks when appearing unlucky in running at Lingfield over 1m2f. This race is no stronger. Ba Dreamflight has been over hurdles though on some of his old flat form, he conceivably has to be given some sort of a chance. Desert Hawk is a recent recruit to Paul Howling's stable. He had shaped as something of a Wolverhampton specialist for Mark Brisbourne. The meeting ends on a whimper but one of this batch has to win and Jiggalong, if in the mood, could be the one to visit the winners enclosure.
