      Verdict

A poor sprint handicap in which LUJIANA is put up as a token call at the expense of Loose Caboose and Verinco. Mel Brittain's charge is a regular over course-and-distance and though a recent disappointment has to be overlooked, from a fair draw, she has to be respected in a race where many are struggling for form. Loose Caboose has had plenty of racing. It is certainly interesting that connections have put an inexperienced boy aboard today but a switch of handling could plausibly make a difference. Verinco continues to search for an elusive first success. The handicapper has had plenty of chance to check his sums so expect him to go close again. Kheley has never raced at Southwell previously so don't be surprised to see any money for him if connections feel that he will handle the surface. La Capriosa has a poor draw to overcome though is a decent sprinter on her day. Ron Harris has his horses running well so Don Pele, in first time visor, is worthy of more than just a cursory glance in the market. After The Show heads to Southwell having scored last time out at Lingfield. A bad race and Lujiana is the pick to the most minimal of stakes.
