Verdict

Polytrack winner Prince James returns to this track despite a couple of below-par efforts on Fibresand, including his latest outing, and Kyladdie's only previous visit here saw him finish last. SHARP SHOES makes his Fibresand debut but his half-brother Desert Strike handles this surface and Ann Duffield's sprinter is still improving on the evidence of his recent wins at Wolverhampton and in heavy ground at Nottingham before that - he gets the vote. Residency is not favoured at the weights but has been in fine form here recently and could also figure.
