Verdict

SHIFTING GOLD was beaten less than a length in better company here in May. He's 7lb higher than January's win over C&D but today's drop in class can make up for that and Kevin Ryan's charge is taken to return to winning ways. Goodlukin Lucy was a well beaten third on her only start on this surface, but Im Spartacus went close over track and trip last week, though his losing run goes back to 2007. Magic Haze scored here earlier this year and has claims off only a 2lb higher mark if staying the longer trip, but it's hard to make a serious case for any of the remainder in their current form.
