    Verdict

RUBI DIA won't need to be out of the ordinary to get the better of Turning Circles with Fillibeg the only other runner of note. The fact that Mel Brittain is persisting in running Turning Circles in maidens suggests that he believes he could struggle in handicap company from his initial mark of 62 but he did run a sound race over course and distance last time and sets the standard with the other pair to have raced appearing modest at best. Fillibeg hails from a powerful yard but one that isn't in tip-top form and she's the first foal of a modest dam who is a half-sister to the smart dual purpose performer Power Elite; the market may guide to her chances. Rubi Dia is likely to find this trip an inadequate test but may be able to get away with it at this stage of his career. He is the first foal of a multiple winner at around middle distances and has a Derby entry but he was only purchased for a modest sum as a yearling. He's been given plenty of time and may be able to repay that patience.
