Verdict

The Brocklesby has traditionally produced several winners for those willing to give the form time to work out, so with that in mind, The London Gang is given another chance to come good, while Woodwee and Countrywide Belle are closely matched on what they have achieved so far and it is safe to assume that there will not be much between them again today. The latter has an optimistic entry in the big sales race at Doncaster much later in the year and it will be interesting to see how her career develops between now and then. The betting market can be a good guide as to how well she has progressed since her debut. Woodwee improved greatly on his second start and was only headed well inside the final furlong. That experience of the course can stand him in good stead and he looks capable of making this a good test. However, he may just set things up for The London Gang, who will benefit from a more patient ride this afternoon. An extra furlong will suit The London Gang in due course but, it is safe to say, he will not have the most restricting of handicap marks whatever happens today.
