A poor finale, with HAROLDINI looking the best of a poor bunch, and being preferred to Ermine Grey and Sularno. Given the recent records of these though it looks wide open, as none of them are in the greatest form. Haroldini has a good attitude, but finds it hard to win these days. Placed in his last couple of runs here over seven furlongs, his last win was almost 18 months ago, but it was here over this trip. Ermine Gray is better drawn, but although having had a poor year so far, he usually comes alive in the summer. Sularno won this race last year when with Hughie Morrison and makes his debut today for Jeff Pearce, who picked him up following a runners up spot in a seller last month. Byron Nay, Almahaza and Legal Lover have all got course and distance winning form in the locker, but not recently. They're racing at this level for a reason though; it's one of those races where we wouldn't be surprised what comes home first, but marginal preference is for Haroldini.
