        Verdict

        Spitfire Bob has claims on the pick of his form as does Three Ships, but in a wide open event we will side with Active Account The selection has been very disappointing on his last two runs, both at Wolverhampton. However his previous effort over course and distance gives him a great chance in this company. He stayed on strongly to beat Layed Back Rocky by two lengths and a repeat of that effort should be good enough this afternoon. Spitfire Bob was well behind Active Account in that contest but certainly has a chance on the best of last year's efforts. Three Ships was successful at Wolverhampton on December and hasn't been disgraced since, another big run can be expected. If Countback takes his chance his is another to consider for each-way purposes, but on this occasion we will go along with Active Account.
