With Tamarind Hill still having attitude questions to answer and Best One struggling to recapture his best COLORUS has excellent claims of adding to his February course and distance success. Paul Pickard is decent value for his claim around here and his mount seems at his best over five at Southwell. The seven-year-old has four course and distance wins and has remainded in good heart since the last of them, whilst at these weights he's got all bar Tamarind Hill covered. Alan McCabe's charge has plenty of course form but doesn't appeal as an out-and-out sprinter and will surely get hopelessly outpaced here before his relative ability sees him stay on for a place past a poor bunch. That said he's no good thing for second as Best One likes it here and can't totally be ruled out of finishing second. Ron Harris' gelding knows his way around here blindfolded and has managed to win a race over the winter, but against our pick he may struggle to add to it. Monsieur Harvey should be capable of better but we're reluctant to predict it and he hasn't done much so far, Mr Rooney has been regressing and the first-time blinkers probably won't change that whilst Remark takes a huge drop in trip and surely can't go the clip. This is an uncompetitive race and it'll be a surprise if Colorus doesn't return home the winner.
