Verdict

Borough Boy beat Pearl Noir, who is engaged in the opening race, over track and trip last week. But this is tougher and BEACHWOOD BAY is preferred. A dual course and distance winner, the latter can race off a lower mark that the last of those victories if an apprentice's allowance taken into account and finished ahead of Belle Bayardo here in November. Ivestar and Captain Scooby are winners on the Polytrack, though Grace Hull looks to have stronger claims on her earlier second to Fathom Five at this venue. The latter has struggled since, however, while Prince Of Passion remains inconsistent though capable on his day.
