In depth

Verdict

KNIGHT PASS was quite impressive in scoring on his debut at Sandown in November. The second has recorded a decent level of form over hurdles since and Warren Greatrex's five-year-old gets the nod here ahead of Bangor winner Avoca Promise and Fill The Power, who hasn't raced since finishing runner-up at Market Rasen last June. Quix was third on his debut at Lingfield, while interesting newcomers include Cool Steel, Gores Island and Scales. The latter has a nice pedigree and should improve on whatever he achieves here.
