      Verdict

We are unlikely to see another Atlantic Story, who won this race last year off a mark of 62, but the most interesting in a modest race could be the tried and tested LOUISIADE. Michael Chapman's seven-year-old has an enviable nine all-weather wins to his name, five of which have come at this track. He shaped with more promise at the track last time and he is not on a bad mark at present. Sheriff's Silk is consistent enough, whilst horses such as Don Picolo and Solicitude pop up for wins at the course and each is interesting enough in this race. Isabella's Fancy got the better of Vogarth in a prolonged battle last time out when wearing the first-time visor but she will need to improve now back out of maiden company. Not a strong race, where there is plenty of first-time headgear on offer, and it is Louisiade who receives the vote.
