Verdict

Beauchamp Xerxes has plummeted down the weights and finally took advantage at Lingfield last week. He remains on a winning mark if handling the track while Slewtoo has also slid down the handicap and makes his seasonal and Fibresand debut for a new yard. SOFIAS NUMBER ONE is yet another on a decent mark compared to his best form having obliged at Wolverhampton last time. His proven form on this surface gives him an edge and Roy Bowring's charge gets the vote. Bentley went close over 7f here last month beating Bonnie Prince Blue and Tenancy in the process and the course and distance winner looks best of the remainder.
