In depth

Verdict

Another awful race where Tojoneski might be good enough to beat Donegal Shore and Desert Fury. The selection has been running well enough in two starts following a break and should be pretty straight for this contest. A mile on slowish ground is ideal for him, and now he is fully wound up he may just be good enough to break a long losing run. At his best Desert Fury would probably lap this lot, but it is now well over three years since he was winning off a mark of 76 and it has been a long time between drinks. Trip and ground certainly suit, but despite his huge drop in the weights he still shows only the odd glimmer of encouragement, so he is opposed. Of the remainder, Donegal Shore has a huge losing run stretching back to his second start three years ago. However, he has not gone badly the last twice he's been seen and the step back up to a mile will suit, so he can at least make the frame. Best advice here is to go to put the kettle on, but if you can't resist a bet then try Tojoneski.
