Verdict

Triple bumper winner Donatis Comet made a decent start over hurdles behind Gentleman Duke here a couple of weeks ago and looks certain to get competitive though a penalty makes life tough. Strategic Bid hasn't done as well as expected but he's produced his best form on soft ground and his close second to Starkie in a big field at Cork would see him in the frame. TIRMOYLE looks to have improved since joining Denis Hogan and ran a fine race behind Kilcara Boy at Killarney where he wouldn't have been suited by fast going. He wouldn't need to improve much more to take this and is handed the vote. Whisky Galore is inconsistent but would prove a threat if anywhere near his best.
