Verdict

SPRING FOCUS, a winner over this trip at Leopardstown a month ago, ran very well despite a 7lb rise at Down Royal and again when dropped to a mile at Galway last week. He's probably still capable of further progress and looks on a reasonable mark so can take this. Park Ranger enters the fray in fine shape having on over hurdles at Galway on Sunday and he's another looking well in as he's 9lb lower than his all-weather mark. Whimsical has been racing in better company since arriving from Richard Hannon's yard though he's gone up in the weights without winning. The lightly-raced handicap debutant Corona Borealis will find this trip and ground to his liking and is one to note along with Jayed Jidan, who has had just two runs this season after completing a double around this time a year ago.
