Verdict

Alhabeeb, who was rated 101 on the Flat two years ago but had slipped to 88 the last time he ran in October, looks a useful recruit to jumping for Noel Meade. MOUNT HELICON, beaten a short-head at Newbury in 2008 when trained by Alan King, has steadily improved this year for Trevor Hogan and ran a fine race on the level at Galway last week when runner-up to Admiral Barry from a mark of 100. He looks ready to gain his first success over timber though New Rules, a comfortable bumper winner when odds-on at Listowel in June, will provide a threat. Blue Turk didn't run badly behind Baracas at The Festival last week and can do best of the remainder.
