Verdict

COUNTESS CONSTANCE made a very encouraging reappearance when chasing home Penny Pepper over 6f on ground with some give at the Curragh. She was staying on strongly at the finish and, with this trip in her favour, can go one better. The winner, who is well regarded, is trained by Kevin Prendergast, who has Natural Woman entered here. She was in the lead at this trip at Navan last month but couldn't handle the strong finish of Fluff over the extra furlong so dropping back should be in her favour. Belezza Oscura started odds-on at Dundalk in November but the minimum trip proved too short. Maronella should be winning soon after a good run behind The Warrior at the Curragh, though may have to wait for a handicap.
