Verdict

SAM LORD appears to have developed a liking for Sedgefield having won over fences and landed a hurdle over C&D last month. That looked a strong race on the day so the handicapper's decision to raise him just 3lb could prove to be very generous indeed. Flicka Williams hasn't shown a great deal so far but, on his handicap debut, Donald McCain's charge is feared. Nevertika is better known as a chaser and, while he's a far from frequent winner over the smaller obstacles, he's dropped dramatically in the ratings from where he once was. Sleep in First looks a potential danger to all at the foot of the weights. James Ewart's six-year-old was well backed ahead of his seasonal reappearance at the course over further. He appeared not to stay on that occasion so it will be interesting to see how he goes in this.
