Verdict

Esme Rides A Gaine has a course and distance victory to her credit but that was in 2011, though she does generally run well here. Cloudy Dawn has been plodding round in his own time but at least has no problems with the marathon trip. Winning hunter Call Me Mulligan has been struggling at the weights in handicaps, though John Dawson's claim is a bonus here, but it's about time DUKEOFCHESTERWOOD was winning again. Karen McLintock's veteran is 9lb higher than when scoring at Southwell in May but he's been running well off similar marks and looks capable of adding to his tally.
