In depth

Verdict

A wide open contest gets proceedings underway and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Parsley's Return, No Commission and Daldini and the narrow vote is given to Parsley's Return. The selection could not cope with the soft ground last time out but prior to that he had been in fair form notably when second behind Golden Feather. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and under these faster conditions he is taken to score. No Commission rates the main danger as he won with a little in hand last time out when beating Rossin Gold but that was in a seller and this looks more competitive and he will need to improve to score. Daldini is another that could go well he has shown enough in three runs to suggest he could win a race of this nature and could go well at a price but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Insurgent is from a yard in form and looks to be on a handy mark so should be closely watched in the market. Of the remainder High Dyke was a fair sort on the flat but showed little on his hurdling debut so can not be put forward with any confidence and with this in mind Parsley's Return gets the vote to minimum stakes.
