Verdict

VOYAGE A NEW YORK showed good battling qualities to get head in front at Carlisle last time. This longer trip should suit on that evidence and Lucinda Russell's charge gets the nod. Maxed Out King has claims on his earlier second in heavy ground over these hurdles but ran below par at Market Rasen last time and is back from a short-break. Bumper winner Cape York faded quickly after a blunder on his hurdling bow and The Backup Plan paid the price for refusing to settle when attempting to make all at Huntingdon last time. Lachlan Mor may prove best of the remainder after a slightly better effort at Newcastle.
