Verdict

Southwell runner-up Montoya's Son and REGAL D'ESTRUVAL have both travelled a fair way to tackle this and the latter can come out on top having got taken off his feet by Australia Day at Taunton earlier this month. The longer trip here is in his favour and Richard Newland has him on a decent mark now. Irish raider Twentypoundluck is still a maiden under Rules but shouldn't be far away again while Riskier came back to form at Newcastle last month and is a former course and distance winner. So are Fred Bojangals and Strobe, though both still look a shade high in the weights, while Sparkling Tara has rather lost his way.
