In depth

Verdict

The newcomers look most interesting here and SADDLERS DEAL is taken to see off Benny Be Good and Young Anthony. The selection represents a yard that are more than capable of providing debutant winners in this sphere. This gelding cost 30,000 pounds at the Cheltenham sales in December and is related to several horses who made an impact in the National Hunt game. Stretch and Young Anthony need watching in the betting, whilst Benny Be Good and Bolt From The Blue give local trainer John Wade a strong hand in the race. Hooked On Line is a half-brother to Speagle, Keep Gunin shaped with plenty of promise at Newcastle on debut, whilst Paddington Bob is out of a half-sister to a Triumph Hurdle winner and is not one to take lightly. The market should have a big say here, however it is Saddlers Deal who looks worth chancing.
