An interesting contest where Rising Force is taken to continue on the upward curve and outpoint Leo's Lucky Star. John Spearing's RISING FORCE has shown a decent level of form in blinkers, which are on today, and he showed improved hurdling form when an eight length Stratford winner last time. The handicapper has not yet rated him, but he finished clear of a 124-rated rival there, admittedly receiving weight, and he is probably worth a similar mark to that. If that proves the case then he is an attractive proposition here. Leo's Lucky Star can get very competitive and is a major challenger after wins at Newton Abbot and also at Stratford have seen him rise 16lb in the handicap. Trip and ground suit and he can go close. Little else has been showing much form, with Haka Dancer having frame claims and Desert Stag another who might take home some prize money at a decent price, but Rising Force can continue on the up.
