Verdict

WHATDOESTHEFOXSAY was a well-beaten second at Newcastle last time but the testing ground was a legitimate excuse. She had earlier landed a double and can effectively race off a lower mark here than when winning at Worcester with James Cowley's allowance taken into account. Royal Moll has lost her way since going close at Fontwell in November so Sparkling Hand makes more appeal on the back of a recent second at Newcastle. Dual novice hurdle winner Retrieve The Stick should be capable of better this year and is preferred to four-year-old Kashtaree and Musselburgh third Pixie Cut of the others.
