ROCK GOD makes most appeal on the evidence of a promising debut at Goodwood. He found only subsequent Acomb Stakes runner-up Steeler too good at the Sussex track and normal improvement can see him hold off today's opposition. Rangi finished fifth at Newmarket on his debut, a length ahead of Etijaah with Lancelot Du Lac further behind. John Gosden's colt can confirm running and is preferred to Correggio, first choice of the Hannon yard on jockey bookings. Sweet Deal is worth noting but fellow newcomer Hillstar, a half-brother to the top-class Crystal Capella among others, could prove a bigger threat.
