Verdict

The superbly bred Tales Of Grimm wasn't fancied on his debut at Newbury but made a successful start and an entry in the St James's Palace Stakes suggests he's well regarded. Top Offer also made a winning debut at Newbury and though well beaten in the 2000 Guineas the form has already worked out very well. Redact, runner-up to Caspar Netscher in the Mill Reef with Saigon a close third, also ran in the Guineas and performed with credit so he looks a threat to all. Cogito looked a nice prospect when making a winning start at Newmarket and Stipulate's effort here last month should be ignored as he hated the heavy going. IRISH HISTORY is the only filly in the race but she looked a very nice prospect when slamming her field at Windsor when apparently unfancied. There's plenty more to come and she's handed the vote in an interesting contest.
