Verdict

Epsom winner Potentate ran well again when second at Salisbury and may not have finished improving yet. But TELEFONO has more scope having beaten a subsequent winner in a maiden at Lingfield and Amanda Perrett's colt gets the vote on his handicap debut. Norway Cross may well have improved since recording a couple of modest efforts back in May and Ruggero had decent form in France last year but was tailed off on his debut for a new yard. Tight Lipped should do better back over today's distance and Jack Of Diamonds could figure if lasting home.
