In depth

Verdict

An interesting heat with several well bred newcomers in attendance. Let Me Try Again, who hails from the same family as Group 3 winner Dalsaan and 1988 2000 Guineas Doyoun, holds entries in both the Royal Lodge and the Dewhurst Stakes and is clearly held in high regard, while Raheel comes from the same family as the high class Rainbow Quest. He may find some of these too sharp over this trip. Stablemate Southern Lad is out of a mare that was placed in Listed events, but he has plenty on from his wide draw. Oasis Dream, who went off favourite for his debut, can be expected to have improved for that outing, but he may have to play second fiddle to David Loder's Storm Cat colt, Habayeb. Despite being his stables second string on his debut, he shaped with plenty of promise behind Kentucky King and this faster ground looks sure to suit him better.
