In depth

Verdict

Another very competitive event in which the leading players look to be Temple Place, Momtic and Krugerrand with the vote going to the first mentioned. The selection won well last time when beating Krugerrand at Haydock. On the face of it there should be little between these two rivals again today, but although Krugerrand ran his best race for some time that day, he is far more exposed than our selection who remains open to plenty of improvement and with everything in his favour today he is difficult to oppose. Momtic finished fifth behind Kew Green at Newmarket last time and although others are preferred today he did win well in his previous race over this course and distance when beating Royal Prince. Unshakable was returning from a break when well-beaten at Newmarket last time so he is sure to come on for that run and could have place prospects. However, Temple Place is sure to come on for his latest win and this improver looks one to stay on the right side of.
