Verdict

KID SUITOR had to give weight to the higher rated Basantee in heavy ground at Haydock in October but finished a creditable second given the unfavourable terms. He made a winning reappearance at Kempton earlier this month and is just preferred to the returning Trader Jack. The latter won his maiden in soft ground at Ffos Las in November with a subsequent winner behind and Grandeur also beat a future winner when scoring on a fast surface at Brighton in August. Jockey bookings suggest Graphic is his yard's second choice while Grey Mirage opened his account in good style at Kempton last month and makes more appeal than 6f winner Otto The Great.
