    Mission Approved started odds-on when attempting a hat-trick at Pontefract but was well beaten and that wasn't his form. HOMAGE was also beaten on his hat-trick attempt over this course and distance but couldn't have given much more and the winner, Ashaadd, has won subsequently so Jeremy Noseda's charge gets the nod. Swift Cedar is progressing fast and hasn't been hit too hard in the weights as his victories have been narrow. If the rain arrives as predicted he'll be a major threat to the selection receiving 9lb.
