    Verdict

PROVENANCE returned the impressive winner of a decent maiden at Kempton on her racecourse debut - she can go in again granted normal progress. Cape Icon also won nicely on his introduction at Nottingham and should be in the mix while Reedcutter got off the mark when landing a maiden at Lingfield three weeks ago and the runner-up has won subsequently. Secret Archive had been progressing well until running as though something was amiss at Ascot but Westminster, Cape Wrath and Sbraase have all proved disappointing so far this year, though it's too soon to write them off just yet.
