High Style has been improving steadily and can take this maiden, with Meru Camp another experienced contender and perhaps Special Day best of the newcomers. The selection improved on his Redcar debut when stepped up to 6f at Brighton last time. On similarly fast ground, Richard Hannon's colt led for much of the way before tying up and this drop back to a stiffish 5f looks just about ideal so he can score. Meru Camp was beaten in claiming company by the in-form Granny Peel on his only outing so far, but Peter Winkworth's colt looks capable of more now he has the hang of things and from this draw he can be competitive. Special Day has the pedigree to do well over this minimum trip at two and along with fellow debutante El Bosque could go well, while Sacre Coeur should be better suited over further in time. But High Style can put his experience to good use and land this.
