Now sent handicapping it may be time to side with BARKING, while Melodize also makes appeal. The selection has performed well enough in defeat in a couple of maidens this season, finishing in the frame on all of his last three starts over sprint trips. Good ground shouldn't be a problem and a mark of 72 is not too taxing so we will side with him. Melodize won a Warwick maiden in June but has struggled in nurseries since and is slipping in the weights. With first-time blinkers fitted he could be a serous threat. Kempton winner Brave Tiger has a bit to find at the weights under his penalty and Catterick scorer Jack Smudge may present a bigger danger from a mark of 73. Perfect Pastime is entitled to be in the mix although Loki's Revenge did nothing for the form of his last run when seen out on Sunday and Barking is suggested.
