Verdict

Deluxe was runner-up over course and distance on his second start and looks the stable pick ahead of newcomer First Dream. But some powerful yards are represented in this maiden with John Gosden introducing Derby entry Christophermarlowe. The Queen's Capel Path is still entered in the Royal Lodge and was far from the finished article at Newmarket while Master Apprentice looked a nice prospect when third over 7f here two weeks ago and will be suited by the extra furlong. OCEANOGRAPHER is by Sea The Stars and a half-brother to two middle-distance winners so stamina won't be a problem. Charlie Appleby will have him ready for this and he can make a winning start.
