        Verdict

        Piper's Song is offered as the selection ahead of Motu, Blacktoft and Treasure House. Henry Candy's charge has been allocated a handicap mark of 63 and having ran a fair sixth in a recent Kempton maiden, there is every chance to believe that some improvement is possible. Motu has been in good heart of late and cannot be crabbed for a number of quality efforts within the last two months. Blacktoft is still a maiden after nine starts although he has managed to at least hit the frame. Stuart Williams' runners are always watched in the market although the gelding can ill afford some of the slow starts that have hampered him in the past. Treasure House is another habitual slow starter to whom similar comments apply. Nephetriti Way is out of form at the moment and could be one to avoid. Snow Bunting is difficult to catch right but he should be plugging on close home. A trappy race to end proceedings and Piper's Song is given as the most tentative of selections.
