Verdict

Tanerko Emery has been raised 5lb since finishing second at Cheltenham but that was probably a better performance than his win at Stratford and David Pipe's six-year-old is one for the short-list here. It's interesting to see John Ferguson has entered the three-year-old Haymarket in a handicap at this stage of the season - he obviously thinks he will struggle to carry a penalty in juvenile contests. Gigondas has already been pulled up against older horses and Starlife needs to up her game. BARENGER raced wide and dropped away quickly before the straight when reappearing over 2m6f at Stratford. He clearly has some ability, however, and may do better now handicapped so gets the vote here getting weight from Able Deputy and Strongly Suggested. Bobcatbilly may need this but could still be best of the rest.
