Verdict

Lastroseofsummer will be popular after winning last time but preference in this staying handicap is for MYKINGDOMFORAHORSE, while the other trio all have some sort of a claim. Course form is very much a plus here and the selection won over course and distance from a 2lbs higher mark last Sepember. He was out of his depth next time at York and after three quiet runs have seen him slip in the weights he can strike again today. Lastroseofsummer is 4lbs higher than when scoring at Newmarket last week when he ran on well over a slightly shorter trip. Trainer Rae Guest clearly thinks his filly will stay this far as she has had previous attempts over the distance when making the frame twice, so she is much respected. Satwa Gold is on a career-high mark of 83 and was found out from 2lbs lower last time, so he looks up against it, while Drawn Gold has won from today's mark before and acts on the ground, but he is not too difficult to oppose on recent evidence. Colonel Flay has slipped in the weights and loves it here, and he could emerge as the main danger to our pick Mykingdomforahorse.
