CUSHION was sent off favourite at Sandown on her reappearance but could only manage fifth. Much better is expected from the Oaks entry today and John Gosden's filly is preferred to a couple of expensive newcomers from powerful yards in Songbird and Madame Vestris. The former is a 330,000gns purchase out of an unraced dam while the latter is a 350,000gns first foal of a Grade 1 winner. Any strong support for either could prove significant with Fanzine and Fast Pace making most appeal of the remainder.
