      Verdict

      Official figures suggest Hasopop is well in here as he's been running reasonably well in very tough handicaps since scoring off a 4lb lower mark at Newmarket. However, this looks competitive with last year's winner Shamaal Nibras looking as though he's ready for another crack after a fine effort behind Heaven's Guest in a heritage handicap at Ascot. MAGIC CITY wasn't far behind in that latter race and, with a 4lb pull, he's taken to reverse the form and gain his sixth victory on his 20th start. The filly Mar Mar looks the pick of the Godolphin pair though this will be the first run of her career on soft ground.
