Verdict

The betting may prove to be oh-so-important in this maiden with so little form to work with and the tentative vote goes to Legendary Guest who's run behind Winker Watson (the Group Two July Stakes winner) is the best form on offer. Newcomers Nikolaievich, Hawk House make it to the shortlist along with the once-raced Flawed Genius. The selection didn't seem to go forward from his first to second runs as he was turned over at long odds-n on that second run. Now the horse is stepped up in trip which may suit and given a break since that let-down, he may be wiser and refreshed this evening. Flawed Genius wasn't beaten too far on debut and as the stable's juveniles normally improve massively for their debut, a big run can be expected with the step up in trip looking sure to suit on breeding. Banjo Bandit, a 25,000 guineas son of Mujadil; Hawk House, a 60,000 euros son of Alhaarth; and Meer Kat, a 90,000 guineas son of Red Ransom, all warrant checks in the market. Kristal Glory seems to be improving for every run and can make the frame again, however Legendary Guest is given one more chance to make amends for that lacklustre run and gets the nomination.
