      Verdict

An apprentice handicap to round off the card for which use of the whip is forbidden. Romany Nights is selected to land it for the Gay Kelleway yard. Unpenalised for a victory in a similar contest earlier this month, he goes well for tender handling and his rider has proved himself more than capable in recent weeks. Outer Hebrides has slipped down the ratings and as a result is well handicapped on the best of his form but Milton Bradley's horses continue to perform poorly. Blue Java posted a decent run over this course in a lady riders contest on his penultimate start and would have each way claims while Castano best form looks to be reserved when plenty cut exists. Romany Nights is the pick to land the finale.
