        Verdict

        The previous division of this race (3.35) can be a good gauge towards the scale of any support for SHIMMERING MOMENT as she throws down the gauntlet to Mujdeya in what might be a straightforward battle for supremacy between the pair; Pink Palace and Poly Floyer are introduced at a realistic level and are a couple of others for the notebook. Neither jumps from the page as being a safe home for support today, though. Mujdeya ran freely on her seasonal debut and lacked a finishing kick as a result. She did prove that she has the enthusiasm to race, though and may be a different proposition today. However, Henry Cecil has a good line on the worth of the form as things stand and, as Shimmering Moment showed a great deal of improvement at Newmarket 18 days ago, this appears to be a good time to keep faith with the master of Warren Place.
